The Caring Adult Day Center

With more than 30 years of experience providing out of home respite care the Adult Day Care program facilitated by Tri-County Community Action Agency holds an impeccable reputation. Our Caring Adult Day program is licensed by the state of Kentucky as a medical model. Our Licensed Nursing staff oversee day to day activities and are always available should a medical concern arise.

Our seasoned staff of caring individuals receive ongoing specialized training geared to the needs of individuals affected by dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s and for them this work is a mission. We fine-tune each person’s experience, to make the care personal. We live in their moment. We can provide a shower, give medications, assist in the provision of therapies, and just be with your loved one, interacting, cooking, eating, playing games and cards, talking, watching television, all while you take a break or get other things done. You know your loved one is provided with social, mental and physical stimulation in alignment with their individual capability, and are safe and happy.

Each day a light breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack is provided.

Caring for an elderly family member can be exhausting, mentally and physically. We’re here to help!

We offer a Caregiver Support Group, which is sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association, the first Monday of the month at 5:30 pm in the Adult Day Center. However, if the first Monday is a holiday, the group meets on the second Monday. If you are having problems with behaviors, or need to give yourself a break -- this is the group for you! It's free and open to all.
