Commodities

Picture
Commodities are provided on a monthly basis to individuals living in your community that are in need. The program helps clients to stretch their food budget with the supplemental items.
Utilizing funding from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), supported by generous donations from community partners who do food drives and collect donations such as local churches, businesses and boy scouts, in partnership with Dare To Care, and with the help of dedicated volunteers, Tri-County Community Action Agency provides over 550 Commodity [food boxes] to eligible households through monthly and emergency distributions.
