Volunteer Opportunities

Join us and make a difference!
Call volunteer coordinator, Trish Spurr at (502) 222-1349 for more information.
Download our volunteer application and handbook, or stop by our main office at 1015 Dispatchers Way, La Grange, KY 40031 for a copy. We would love to meet you!

Here are just a few of our opportunities:

Meals on Wheels:
Meals are delivered to homebound participants Mondays (Trimble and Henry Counties) and Wednesdays (Oldham County). Drivers are needed to deliver these meals using their own or an agency vehicle. You may volunteer once a week, or be a substitute for a regular driver. Hours: 10:30 am - 1 pm.

Adult Day:
The Caring Adult Day Program utilizes volunteers Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm at our La Grange center. Volunteers help with a variety of duties such as administration, care of adults and organization. The hours are flexible.

Telecare:
Volunteers make phone calls to homebound individuals in our three counties. These are courtesy calls to insure that homebound seniors receive caring contact and are usually made in the morning hours, Monday through Friday.

Senior Programs:
Volunteers serve hot lunches, assist with senior activities such as bingo and enjoy time with participants. Programming runs Monday - Friday.

Commodities:
Supplemental food items are provided on a monthly basis to community members in need. Volunteers assist with boxing up items and carry-out when needed.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?  YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOU.
